POWERS
Molecular Inhibition: The ability to slow down molecules to the point where an object freezes. This is the first power that Piper inherited after becoming a Charmed one.

Molecular Combustion: In season 3, Piper's freezing power developed, so she can now speed up molecules to the point where an object blows up.
OVERVIEW
Piper was born on the 3rd of August 1973 as the second child of Patricia Halliwell and Victor Bennet.
Throughout her childhood, Piper was unaware of her powers until she was 24, when her younger sister, Phoebe, read an incantation that made her, Piper and their older sister, Prue, Witches.
Piper had her first brush with death on the first day she became a Witch, when her fiance, Jeremy, revealed himself to be a warlock and tried to kill her to get her powers. Luckily, the Sister's managed to vanquish him.
At first Piper was scared of her powers, convincing herself that she was evil. She tried to persuade Phoebe not to use them, but was unsuccesful.
When a 'handyman' named Leo Wyatt came to do some work on the Manor, she fell for him immediately, as did Phoebe. Competing to see who could get-the-guy, Piper won. Unknown to the sister's though, Leo was a white lighter, whose job it was to look after the girls and guide them.
Piper had a hard time staying with Leo, because the Elder's didn't approve of Whitelighter/Witch relationships....
